Briar Approach: Construction Phase
Design is now complete and it is time to hand the project over to the construction team.
Step 6: Pre-Construction
At this time the design is essentially complete and it is time to hand the project over to the Briar construction team. A Lead-Hand is assigned to your project, work crews and subcontractors are notified of the schedule and a pre-construction meeting is held with you. Items with long delivery times are ordered.
Deliverables: Assign Lead-Hand, Order long delivery time items, Issue contracts to Subcontractors
Step 7: Construction

Now that everything has been prepared, construction can begin on your home. Equipment, tools and supplies are delivered. The work crews arrive and the transformation begins to take place. Engineers and other consultants may be brought in as required. The project will be closely monitored with reference to both the schedule and approved budget. Throughout this stage there will be bi-weekly meetings to keep you fully informed on the status of the project.
Deliverables: Renovation completed, City inspections completed and approved, Home cleared of any construction items
Step 8: Post-Construction
At this time your home is ready for final inspection and approval. We take you through a review of the entire project to ensure that we have accomplished everything you expected. Any deficiencies will be noted at this time and dealt with in a prompt manner. We will submit any warranties for purchased goods and prepare a Briar manual containing the relevant information required for care and up keep. In addition, we promise to follow-up in 45 days to ensure that everything is in order, and again one year later.
