Meet Doug Paul, PEng
Principal, Strategic Development
Doug has over two decades management experience working with, and meeting the expectations of clients. Doug first began working with Briar in 1995 when they built their first home for resale.
Prior to joining Briar, Doug spent many years working in senior management roles for a Fortune 1,000, multi national corporation. His particular field of expertise was the design and manufacture of solutions for clients in the heavy duty transportation and pleasure marine markets. It was during this period that he honed his skills in project management, product design and business development. Doug earned a reputation for understanding client needs and creating unique solutions which went on to win wide acceptance in the marketplace.
Doug grew up on the North Shore and is a long time resident of Vancouver’s West Side. His appreciation of the area’s special qualities was founded during his years at UBC where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After owning a number of homes in Kitsilano and the Dunbar areas, Doug has a keen sense of the West Side housing market and an understanding of renovations—what works and how to create value.
Doug currently lives in the Dunbar area with his wife and young daughter. He is active in his daughter’s school and is a supporter of community organizations such as the Vancouver Aquarium and Science World.
